I must begin today by apologizing to the free world. Once I accepted the fact that I was a type 2 diabetic my consumption of Hostess products stopped. Having no idea of the impact on the Hostess company, I offer my sympathies. Walking into my favorite quick stops, I see where the twinkies, king dons, apple pies and suzy-q's once occupied the shelves. I hang my head in shame, who would have thought that something that was such a vital part of our lives would one day be gone!
Life has a way of changing without our input. Things we once held onto dearly are suddenly gone. There are no replacements only memories. Oh, but the memories can be so sweet. I no longer am speaking of snack cakes, but the lives that were once such a vital part of who we are. It seems with each passing week I learn of another precious life that no longer walks the earth with us. Life is short, to short to allow moments to pass in turmoil.
Moving through the holiday season, my prayer for you is to have peace. Even when peace seems so far away, God is near.
John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
As you walk through the difficult reality of separation from a loved one, hold tight to the fact God is near, He loves you and wants you to know a peace that can only come from Him.
Strolling into Speedway I see.... could it be!!! No, only Little Debbies! Okay, okay I will take the banana.
