Romans 8:28, 29 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.”
Maybe this week, God has a specific message He's trying to send you. Is there a difficulty that keeps reoccurring, a theme that keeps showing up in your work or life, or a message that has been communicated through various people repeated times?
It can be tempting to ignore messages we don't want to hear, or downplay the positive messages that come through others. Remember it's important to be open to God's messages in their many forms. Sometimes the message is a clear warning that says, "Stop that." Sometimes it's a gentle nudge that says, "Get ready." It can also be an assuring encouragement saying, "You're on the right path." Whatever the message, your job is to listen. Most things that happen are not simply a coincidence. If the same issue keeps showing up again and again - maybe it's time to address it. If you don't feel at peace about something, there may be a message in the turmoil you are feeling. Of course, if you do feel at peace, that's a clear message. God can use any situation to speak to you.
God’s leading isn’t often the “crossing of the Red Sea” type of experience. Typically, it is about the day-to-day decisions you face in the routine of life. However, following the leadership of God is never routine. There will be twists and turns that stretch your beliefs in an attempt to make you a more mature follower of Christ. Walk by faith and in an awareness that God has something important for you to do.
Colossians 2:6, 7 “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
Q4U: God is calling. Are you listening carefully to His words?
