Ephesians 1:4, 5 “For he chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will.”
The Apostle Paul writing to the churches at Ephesus explains the love of God in several descriptive terms.
Ephesians 3:17, 18 “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”
How wide is God’s love? It’s wide enough to be everywhere. Pastor Rick Warren wrote this about the love of God. “There is no place on this planet that God’s love isn’t. There is no place in the universe that God’s love ends.”
You might say, “I don’t see it there!” That doesn’t mean it’s not there. There are many things you can’t see that are real. For instance, right now as you’re reading this, there are radio waves going through the air carrying music. There are television waves right now going through the air carrying colored pictures. You can’t see them and you can’t hear them unless you have a receiver and you’re tuned in. They’re real. You just can’t see them.”
We can’t see God, but He’s here and He’s real. His love is life changing.
So how wide is God’s love? It is so wide that you cannot go anywhere without His love being there too. You are never alone, God’s love is there whether you are aware of it or not.
Jeremiah 31:3 “The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”
