Ephesians 1:4, 5 “For he chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will.”
In Luke 8, the Bible tells the story of Jesus and the disciples when they were in a boat traveling across the Sea of Galilee. A terrible storm came up and everyone on board became fearful of the wind and rain. They cried out to the Lord asking why He would allow them to come so far and then to die in the midst of a storm? Jesus calmed the weather by merely commanding it to stop. They were amazed at the power of this man they had come to know.
You will face unexpected storms in your life. Perhaps even questioning if God really cares about what you are going through. He does. In His time and His way, He will see you through whatever you have to face.
Ephesians 3:17, 18 “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”
How deep is God’s love? It’s deep enough to handle anything.
No matter what pain you’re going through, what problems you’re going through, or what hurt you’re going through God’s love is deeper still.
Even when you think you’re at the end of your rope and you’ve hit rock bottom - God’s love goes deeper and lower than your problem. There is no pit too deep where God cannot reach you. You may feel buried by your troubles with no hope in sight, but remember God can deliver you.
James 4:8 “Come near to God and He will come near to you.”
